Kichevo is 10 km away from the Metropolitan city of Varna and its international airport; 20 km from Golden Sands and 17 km from the resort of Albena. Altitude: 250 – 333 m.

The village is rich in natural water sources. There are 7 fountains, surrounded by poplars, which in the spring become showy and beautiful. From these poplars is the name of the village. According to the official statistics from June 2020 there are 1274 inhabitants living there permanently.

The village has established very good traditions in areas such as education, community center activity, preservation of Christianity for 150 years, environmental protection. The primary school “ St. Kliment Ohridski “ was founded in 1884. Today’s building was built in 1940 – 1948, renovated and expanded in 1982. In 2009 the school was renovated with funds from European programs, won by a large-scale project prepared by a team of the Municipality of Aksakovo.

In almost every home of  the locals there is such an oven, as well as a cauldron for brewing brandy. In addition to the specialty stuffed lamb, in the oven is baked and the so-called. "Gagauz pie", hand-rolled and drizzled with fresh milk. Other Gagauz dishes are tarana, kalle, uuma soup, plateki and others. It is noticed that they are more lean and pasta.
